Here are a few snapshots of UBAN community services events:
UBAN is proud to support Camp NAWIC, a unique week-long, hands-on event that promotes construction careers to high school girls at no cost to the participants. Campers learn the basic elements of various construction trades and develop a “can-do” attitude they can apply in many aspects of their lives.
On average, UBAN employees donate 300 pints of blood each year at corporate-sponsored blood drives – saving 180 lives in our local communities!
UBAN has been a long-time sponsor of United Way because we adamantly believe in their mission. It is part of our corporate responsibility to help our community’s children and families grow stronger.
UBAN believes that healthy employees are happy employees – UBAN has sponsored the SLO Half Marathon & Relay Races for over a decade! If UBAN employees aren’t competing, they find opportunities to sponsor or volunteer!
UBAN enjoys participating in multiple I Love a Clean San Diego events each year, including the Creek to Bay Cleanup, Save Your Scraps Workshop, and Watershed Warriors event.
Last year, UBAN donated a whopping 14,000 pounds of food to local food banks! UBAN’s company-wide donations continue to grow each year – due in large part to our friendly, inter-office competitions to see who can rally the most donations!
UBAN is a corporate sponsor of the American Heart Association (AHA) – and for good reason! UBAN is passionate about employee health and wellness and the AHA speaks our language. We regularly partner with the AHA for fundraisers and community events.
UBAN supports SANDAG’s Go by Bike and Bike to Work Day programs. UBAN employees both ride by bike and volunteer at various pit stops throughout the region. UBAN believes biking is a healthy, environmental, cost-saving transportation choice. Join us in the effort to reduce our carbon footprint and to alleviate traffic congestion!
